Dr. N. Guzin Uzel received her DMD from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed her Periodontology Certificate and Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) degree at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She also received her Certificate in Microbiology from The Forsyth Institute, where she has conducted many basic science and clinical research studies.
Dr. Uzel has published several peer-reviewed papers and co-authored book chapters on both basic science and clinical applications of periodontics and taught for several years at Pennsylvania School of
Dental Medicine where she served as the Clinical Director of Postdoctoral Periodontology. She is currently an assistant professor and Assistant Director of Predoctoral Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a reviewer for the Journal of Dental Education.
She maintains a private practice limited to Periodontics and Implantology in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
