Dr. Alan Pomeranz, a senior partner in Altura Periodontics, brings another unique side to our practice. He earned his certificate in periodontology and M.M.Sc in oral biology from Harvard. A diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Pomeranz received his doctorate from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and his bachelor’s in biology from the University of Colorado. He has completed a wide range of research, including immune regulation in periodontal disease. The passion of Dr. Pomeranz lies in periodontal regeneration, bone regeneration and dental implants.

He has remained an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental

Association and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. Similar to the other doctors on staff, he regularly completes continuing education courses in periodontal areas.

Additionally, Dr. Pomeranz has been recognized as one of Denver’s Top Periodontists in 5280 magazine for 2013 & 2014.

Dr. Pomeranz is married to Mimi, who was also born and raised in Denver. They have three daughters-Sophie, Lena and Ella. He enjoys golfing, skiing and cycling in his free time.
