Rodrigues

Vinicius (Vinny) Rodrigues, DDS, DMSc, is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry, Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, teaching and directing courses to both dental and graduate students.

Before joining academia in 2012, Dr Rodrigues was full-time in private practice in Brazil. He earned dental degrees from the University of São Paulo and University of Detroit-Mercy. Dr Rodrigues completed a Periodontology residency at the

Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where has also received the prestigious Presidential Award of academics and career, and is board-certified in the U.S. by the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr Rodrigues has co-authored several publications, especially book chapters in Clinical Periodontology. Most recently he has served as the first visiting faculty in Periodontology at the University of Rwanda School of Dentistry. His research interests include Tissue Engineering and Regeneration, and clinical trials in Periodontology. On his free time he enjoys biking and barbecuing, but also assisting international dental and medical mission trips.
